The director-producer, who enjoys a massive following of over 17 million on the platform, appears to have unfollowed several Bollywood celebrities, including some of his closest friends and long-time collaborators.As of Thursday evening, Karan Johar’s Instagram account showed that he was following only 78 accounts, sparking speculation online about the reason behind the sudden move.

Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor missing from following list

Among the celebrities Karan has reportedly unfollowed are Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Malaika Arora and designer Manish Malhotra, all of whom are considered part of his close inner circle.Interestingly, even actors launched by Karan through Student Of The Year — Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra — no longer appear on his following list.Ananya Panday and Kartik Aaryan have also reportedly been unfollowed.
