As per the latest updates, Kim Soo Hyun has been cleared of all charges for which he was being investigated in the Kim Sae Ron case. As of now, the actor is allegedly planning to file a lawsuit. Not only that, but Kim Se-ui, a YouTuber who actively made content on the case, after being instructed not to, has also been arrested. Since the actor’s innocence has been proven, many are wondering whether he will make a comeback.

Production house benches Kim Soo Hyun’s drama until further notice

Prior to the case and controversy, Soo Hyun had been selected for a brand new drama titled ‘Knock Off’. However, following the case and the allegations against the actor, the production house behind the show benched it. Now, netizens wonder whether the show will be released, but that does not seem to be in the cards for now.Xportsnews reported that the production house is currently holding on to ‘Knock Off’ and that the show has no plans of being released. The company’s position on the matter has not changed as of right now.

What is ‘Knock Off’ about

The drama series follows the life of a man whose life turns around because of the 1997 Asian financial crisis. It is set around how he manages to grow a counterfeit business and build it into an empire. The show had a budget of 60 million KRW, and Kim Soo Hyun had been cast as the lead. However, after the allegations that Kim Sae Ron’s family made against him after her passing, and the case that followed, prompted the company to cancel all plans regarding the show and shelve it for the time being.

Actor faces backlash over possible return

Although there are no clear reports as to whether the actor will return to the entertainment industry, rumors have already surfaced online. Many netizens have strongly reacted, with many commenting that they do not wish to see the actor back in the industry.One person’s comment read “There may not be physical evidence, but there were still plenty of suspicious circumstances,” while another shared that they do not believe in the case verdict and will never support Kim Soo Hyun.A social media user sarcastically commented about the matter and said, “He probably would return as if nothing had happened,” while another shared that “Nobody wants to see him back on screen; please stay away.”Kim Soo Hyun had been accused of dating Kim Sae Ron when she was still a minor and had also harassed her after she joined his management agency.
