Keerthy Suresh and Antony Thattil’s love story

Keerthy Suresh and Antony Thattil's love story: From secret romance to an elopement plan with happy ending

National Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh has never disclosed anything about her personal life. But, with her marriage to her longtime boyfriend, Antony Thattil, in a lovely wedding ceremony in Goa in December 2024, she has gradually started revealing more about herself and their story. The most astonishing thing about this couple’s story is that their love was blossoming even before Instagram gained popularity. Speaking in a recent interview, Keerthy Suresh revealed that the couple first connected through Orkut and spent nearly a month chatting before meeting in person. That first meeting, however, was far from a romantic movie scene.

How it all started between Keerthy Suresh and Antony Thattil

Recalling their first meeting with Galatta, Keerthy Suresh said she was at a restaurant with her family when Antony happened to be there. Since relatives surrounded her, she could not openly speak to him. “I just winked at him and left,” she said with a laugh. Later, she challenged him by saying, “If you have the courage, propose to me.” Antony Thattil eventually expressed his feelings in 2010, marking the beginning of a relationship that would stand the test of time. The actress also shared a touching detail about a ring Antony gifted her during those early years. “I have never removed that ring. It was even with me during my wedding. You can spot it in many of my films,” she revealed.

Keerthy Suresh once thought of eloping

The journey was not always easy. Antony Thattil, who is seven years older than Keerthy, was working in Qatar when their relationship began. The couple spent nearly six years managing a long-distance romance. Despite the challenges, they stayed committed to each other. Keerthy admitted that they were so determined to be together that they even discussed running away from home at one point. “We thought about eloping. It feels like a dream now,” she said. According to the actress, the COVID-19 lockdown played a major role in bringing them closer. She also praised Antony’s constant support for her career and added, “People say he is lucky to have me, but honestly, I am the lucky one to have him.”

An exciting career ahead for Keerthy Suresh

After nearly 15 years of love and friendship, Keerthy Suresh and Antony Thattil finally tied the knot in Goa in the presence of family, friends, and several film personalities. Their wedding became one of the most talked-about celebrity events, with many stars attending the celebrations. On the professional front, Keerthy Suresh continues to shine across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi cinema. Her latest release was Revolver Rita, while she is currently busy with projects including ‘Kannivedi,’ ‘Thottam,’ ‘Rowdy Janardhana,’ ‘Sathyavan Savithiri,’ and the Hindi film ‘Raftaar.’ Go to Source
