Katy Perry’s relationship timeline: John Mayer to Orlando Bloom

Katy Perry's relationship timeline: From John Mayer to Orlando Bloom, all about the drama that served music industry

Katy Perry has been going all ‘143’ over the former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau – and fans love it. The 41-year-old singer isn’t the one about regrets, and she made sure everyone knew it. After a public split with her ex-beau, Orlando Bloom, the singer continued to perform the things she loved the most and found herself a charismatic man. Recently, the ‘Firework’ singer held the hands of her new flame in front of the cameras. Much to no surprise, the singer’s relationships over the years not only made breaking news, but some even made contributions to the bad blood drama. So, here’s a look at the men Katy Perry has held hands with over the years!

Johnny Lewis

When Katy Perry (aka Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson) was a blooming new artist, she had Johnny Lewis by her side for nearly 18 months, circa 2005. As she was relatively new to the industry, not much of the spice was covered. However, he died in a freak accident in 2012, either by jumping or falling off the roof of the house he used to rent after beating his 81-year-old landlady to death, according to E! News. “He was in trouble then, and she couldn’t help him,” the report said, adding that he might have been the muse for ‘’Circle the Drain’ and ‘The One That Got Away.’

Travis ‘Travie’ McKoy

Katy Perry started dating the Gym Class Heroes member Travis ‘Travie’ McKoy during the 2007 timeline. The duo dated for a year before they split up, where she allegedly wrote a goodbye note via email, and he later revealed the separation during New Year’s Eve on his blog, mentioning the reference to the volatile lyrics of ‘Kickin at the Front Door.’ Well, later he admitted that he was a prescribed drug addict. “She wasn’t stupid… She knew when I was [expletive] up. I chose drugs over our relationship… As things started taking off for her, the more I started to doubt my role in her life. There were times I felt like a stepping ladder,” he said, in an interview with Behind The Music.

Josh Groban

Katy Perry and Josh Groban might have ‘skated on the lines of dating’ in 2009. Somehow, he was also the muse for ‘The One That Got Away,’ as he spat his coffee when he saw that. When Andy Cohen asked about the reference to Groban, he said, “We did [date]. We were both very private, and so we realized we were better as friends. And we’ve been very, very good friends to this day. She’s the best. But I was not expecting that. That was a double-take and a spit out my coffee when I saw that.”

Russell Brand

Well, Russel Brand is the one she married. ‘I Kissed A Girl’ singer hit it off with the comedian-actor, and he proposed to her in India on a vacation. They packed their bags and returned to Rajasthan for their marriage in 2010. With a Hindu ceremony, they vowed to be together near the Ranthambore sanctuary – and split up in 14 months. However, the renowned singer revealed to Vogue that every man wants an equal until they can’t handle the equalness. “He didn’t like the atmosphere of me being the boss on tour. So that was really hurtful, and it was very controlling, which was upsetting,” she said.

John Mayer

After a couple of men who didn’t agree on ‘labels,’ Perry found herself in another drama. The singer and her ex-dear John Mayer had an on-and-off relationship for four years. The public relationship created a reported feud between Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, as the billionaire singer dated Mayer for a period of time until he moved on to the ‘Teenage Dream’ singer. While the ‘Bad Blood’ has cleared now, the feud contributed to a lot of hit songs. “He pulled away. That was a big hello for me,” she told Elle U.K., before adding, “I realized I could lose the person I loved, and I had to deal with some things, issues I think a lot of women have. You can be strong in one aspect of your life but submissive in another.”

Orlando Bloom

Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry met in 2016 at the Golden Globes after-party, which led to vacations all over the world. However, they had an on-and-off relationship for a moment, until she had a ring on her finger in 2019. The couple welcomed their baby girl in 2020, but they had recently split up, citing that they would be transitioning to co-parenting. The tears might have been shed during the concerts, but she saw someone grooving to her songs in Montreal who had the potential to wipe those away.

Welcoming, Justin Trudeau

After the duo was captured on a date, the reports claimed that it was just a dinner, and no such flame had been ignited between them. Well, the pictures on the yacht would beg to differ. Perry and Trudeau were captured yet again earlier this month, having a PDA session. Recently, they made their relationship official. Go to Source
