Kartik Aaryan wraps up ‘Naagzilla’ poster shoot; filming starts on November 1 this year

Kartik Aaryan has finished shooting the poster for ‘Naagzilla: Naag Lok Ka Pehla Kaand.’ The creature-comedy, produced by Dharma Productions, will begin filming on November 1. Kartik plays a shape-shifting serpent. The film releases on August 14, 2026, coinciding with Independence Day and Naag Panchami.

Kartik Aaryan is gearing up for a thrilling set of films, with the spotlight on ‘Naagzilla: Naag Lok Ka Pehla Kaand’, a comedic drama featuring mythical creatures. In this film, Kartik will step into the shoes of a shape-shifting serpent, a character unlike any he has played before. Reportedly, he has finished shooting the posters, and the main filming is set to commence on November 1.Promotional shoot marks genre debutThe actor recently wrapped up shooting promotional content at a studio in Mumbai, marking his debut in the creature-comedy genre, according to Pinkvilla. The report also suggests that Kartik is genuinely enthusiastic about embracing this distinctive and captivating character in ‘Naagzilla’.Release date and role detailsThe film, revealed in April 2025, is planned for release on August 14, 2026, to align with the Independence Day weekend and the Naag Panchami festival. Kartik is reported to portray Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, an Ichadaari Naag, in this project.Director and franchise potentialThe film will be directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, who previously gained acclaim for his work on the Fukrey series.
