Karan Johar is rocking headlines once again, but for the wrong reasons. Netizens lashed out at the filmmaker after he compared people’s favorite web show, ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’, with his film ‘Student Of The Year’. Karan Johar took to Instagram and shared a picture of Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra from ‘Student Of The Year’. The actors played the roles of Rohan and Abhi in the 2012 movie. Sharing the picture, he wrote, “Team Conrad or Team Jeremiah !!!! ???? It’s Team Rohan or Team Abhimanyu!!! #weweretherefirst #summershanayaturnedpretty”.However, this didn’t go well with the fans of the popular web show. Well, they took over their respective social media accounts to bash the filmmaker.

A fan posted, “Ek boond ki bhi hesitation nahi hai bhai. This gives me second-hand embarrassment.” Another web series admirer added, “Who’s gonna tell him that TSITP is based on the highest-selling book which released back in 2011?” The person further added, “He is next-level delusion man lol. And who’s gonna tell him every 2-boy-one-girl isn’t SOTY lol.” The individual concluded by adding, “Not even one thing in the story is the same lmao.”On went on to share, “Ofc ofc, Karan Johar originated the idea of love triangles.” Not just that, a comment read, “First director to think of this gem idea. Giving tough competition to Urvashi, I see…” Last but not least, one wrote, “Kuch bhi bakwas karalo inse.”
