‘Kalamkaval’: Pre sales hit Rs 2.31 crore worldwide

'Kalamkaval' pre sales: Advance bookings for Mammootty and Vinayakan's film hit Rs 2.31 crore worldwide

Mammootty’s ‘Kalamkaval’ is generating immense buzz, with advance bookings reaching Rs 2.31 crore globally. The suspense drama features Mammootty in a dark antagonist role opposite Vinayakan. A gripping teaser, hinting at a complex mystery and potentially disturbing characters, has fueled the high anticipation for the film’s December 5 release.

The anticipation surrounding Mammootty’s upcoming film ‘Kalamkaval’ is at its peak, and advance booking figures confirm the unstoppable craze for the suspense drama. Mammootty, who has entered a golden phase since the past few years, is set for success, this time with ‘Kalamkaval’ as the pre-sales figures look impressive. The well edited teaser which raises curiosity and also the fact that the megastar will be playing an antagonist character opposite Vinayakan, could be the reasons why the hype is high for ‘Kalamkaval’.

Global advance sales touch stunning Rs 2.31 crore

According to Asianet News, trade reports reveal that ‘Kalamkaval’ has collected Rs 1.52 crore through advance bookings in Kerala, while other parts of India contributed Rs 13 lakh. Meanwhile, the film has pulled in an impressive Rs 66 lakh from overseas markets. This brings the worldwide advance total to Rs 2.31 crore. Overall, with these pre-sales figures, ‘Kalamkaval’ is expected to open on a high note at the box office on December 5.

A dark antagonist role and a 54-second teaser that shook everyone

Adding to the storm is the recently unveiled pre-release teaser, which has hooked the audience instantly. Running for 54 seconds, it drops viewers into a deeply unsettling world where questions echo louder than answers. A wall filled with photographs of missing women flashes first which is followed by the haunting voices of grieving families. The tone turns even darker when Mammootty and Vinayakan characters enter the frame. These two men are possibly hiding two terrifying sides of the same mystery.

THIS catchy line in teaser ignited theories

The moment Vinayakan murmurs, “Later on, killing became an addiction for me,” the entire teaser flips the narrative. Is Mammootty the monster being hunted? Are both characters serial killers? Or is Vinayakan merely reading a confession belonging to Mammootty’s character? The cut does not reveal the truth, but it surely raises the suspense element.Directed by debutant Jithin K Jose and produced by Mammootty’s production company, ‘Kalamkaval’ runs for 2 hours 19 minutes and 3 seconds.
