'Kalamkaval' box office collections day 3: Mammootty’s crime thriller roars past Rs 16 crores

Mammootty’s crime thriller ‘Kalamkaval’ is a box office hit, raking in Rs 16.35 crore net in its opening three days. The film saw its highest single-day collection on Sunday, earning Rs 5.85 crore. Mammootty’s chilling antagonist portrayal is a major draw, with fans also praising Vinayakan’s cop role. The megastar expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response.

Mammootty’s crime thriller ‘Kalamkaval’ is showcasing it’s strength at the box office. The movie recorded an impressive Rs 16.35 crore India net in just three days.The film is directed by Jithin K. Jose and according to early estimates by the Sacnilk website, ‘Kalamkaval’ earned Rs 5.85 crore on Day 3 (Sunday), marking its highest single-day performance so far. The three-day breakdown stands at Rs 5 crore (Friday), Rs 5.5 crore (Saturday), and Rs 5.85 crore (Sunday). On day 3, the morning occupancy was recorded at 37.40%, afternoon 59.74%, evening 68.41%, and night 58.85%. The afternoon and evening shows seem to be pulling in more occupancy rates.

Mammootty’s antagonist role takes centre stage

While ‘Kalamkaval’ boasts an ensemble that includes Vinayakan, Gayatri Arun, Rajisha Vijayan, and Gibin Gopinath, it is Mammootty’s performance as a ruthless antagonist that has become the primary talking point. Fans and critics are calling it one of the most chilling portrayals of his career.
