Jr NTR praises Rishab, says not easy to make Kantara Chapter 1

'It is not easy to make Kantara Chapter 1': Jr NTR showers praise on Rishab Shetty, says he witnessed it firsthand how hard he worked

Jr NTR praised Rishab Shetty’s immense dedication for *Kantara Chapter 1*, highlighting the film’s challenging production, including a remote temple shoot. This prequel, following the successful *Kantara*, delves into the Bhuta Kola ritual’s origins with a new cast and B Ajaneesh Loknath returning as composer, set for an October 2 release.

At a pre-release event of Kantara Chapter 1, Jr NTR praised Rishab Shetty for his hard work and dedication in bringing the film to life. He also revealed how difficult it was to make the film.

Jr NTR on Rishab’s dedication

At the event, Jr NTR said, “I got the opportunity to see firsthand how hard he worked to make Kantara Chapter 1. It is not easy to make Kantara Chapter 1. You must have seen it on social media. He took me to a temple near his hometown, where you have to wade through water to reach it.”He added, “There’s no path to go to the temple there, they made one because they put up a set up there to shoot. It’s humanly impossible. If it was not for Rishabh sir, if it was not for the team that he believed it, I really don’t think anything would’ve been possible for Kantara Chapter 1.”

Kantara’s success and prequel expectations

Released in 2022, Kantara was praised by critics and audiences alike, earning Rs 407.82 crore worldwide. Set in pre-colonial Karnataka, the prequel is expected to delve deeper into the origins of the Bhuta Kola ritual. B Ajaneesh Loknath returns as the composer for the film’s music, just like in the first part.According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Kantara: A Legend Chapter-1’ recorded a strong advance booking gross on its first day across India: Kannada 2D – Rs 3.69 Cr, Telugu 2D – Rs 75,000, Hindi 2D – Rs 3,27,000, totaling Rs 3.7 Cr with over 96,000 tickets sold nationwide.Kantara Chapter 1 also stars Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, Jayaram, and Rakesh Poojari.
