Akshay Kumar’s ‘Jolly LLB 3’ goes past Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par and Tiger Shroff’s ‘Baaghi 4 “ to become 7th biggest day 1 opening of 2025

Akshay Kumar’s career is experiencing a comeback in 2025. Jolly LLB 3 has a strong opening, surpassing other films. Advance bookings for Saturday are promising. Akshay has several upcoming projects with Priyadarshan. These include Bhoot Bangla, Haiwaan with Saif Ali Khan, and Hera Pheri 3. The actor’s future projects are highly anticipated by fans.

After a very dry run at the box office, Akshay Kumar is finally seeing a resurgence in his career in 2025 with films like Housefull 5, Sky Force and Kesari 2. His latest release Jolly LLB 3 with Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla and director Subhash Kapoor has made the year even sweeter for him. The film has minted Rs 12.50 crore as per Sacnilk, taking the 7th biggest opening of the year. With the collection the film has gone past opening day numbers of Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par ( Rs 10.7 crore) and Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4 ( Rs 12 crore). Akshay also went past his own film Sky Force – his first of the year which had collected Rs 12.25 crore. While Baaghi 4 had fizzled out after taking a good opening at the box office, but both Sky Force and Sitaare Zameen Par had gone on to collect over Rs 100 crore at the box office. From here on the journey for Jolly LLB 3 is purely dependent on its word of mouth publicity. The film has already got good reviews and the impact of it can be seen in the advance booking for Saturday. Till Friday midnight the film had crossed 80,000 tickets for Saturday in national multiplex chains while its total sale on Friday was 40,000. Akshay now has a slate of films lined up , most of them are with one of favourite director Priyadarshan. Together they have delivered films like Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, De Dhana Dhan and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. They have now teamed up together for Bhoot Bangla, it’s shoot has been completed.They also have Haiwaan together which sees Akshay with Saif Ali Khan after Tashan and then there is Hera Pheri 3 which should go on floors soon.
