‘Jolly LLB 3’ box office collection day 10

'Jolly LLB 3' box office collection day 10: The Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi starrer crosses Rs 90 crore after seeing growth on second weekend

Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi’s ‘Jolly LLB 3′ released last Friday and it has now completed a week at the box office. The film had decent opening day number. But for a movie like this, it was always expected to grow with positive word of mouth and not have a bumper opening day number on the first day. The film saw a good growth over the first weekend which was much needed and encouraging. But now the second weekend numbers will equally matter.’Jolly LLB 3’ made Rs 12.5 crore on day 1. On Saturday, it made Rs 20 crore and on Sunday it made Rs 21 crore. On Monday, it was expected that the movie will see a drop. The good part is, despite the dip on Monday, it saw growth on Tuesday and benefitted from the discounted ticket rates in most parts on that day. The Tuesday which is day 5 number is quite decent considering the ongoing Navratri festivities. It made Rs 5.5 crore on day 4. On tuesday, the collection according to Sacnilk is Rs 6.5 crore. On day 6 which is Wednesday, the film made Rs 4.5 crore which was a decline from the Tuesday numbers. Now on day 7, Thursday, it has made Rs 4 crore. With that, ‘Jolly LLB 3’ now completes a week at the box office. The week one collection of the movie stands at Rs 74 crore. On day 8, which is Friday, the movie has made just as the Thursday number which is Rs 4 crore. The total collection is now Rs 78 crore. On Thursday, one saw the release of Pawan Kalyan and Emraan Hashmi starrer ‘They Call Me OG’ which is doing exceptionally well and giving a tough competition to ‘Jolly LLB 3’ especially in the south regions. But one hopes that the film does see growth over the second weekend in order to end up with a decent lifetime box office which matches up to the critical acclaim and reviews which the film has got.According to Box Office India, ‘franchise’ advantage seems to have given this film a solid start at the box office, but the content doesn’t quite match up to the previous Jolly LLB installment. Its final tally may land in the same range as Jolly LLB 2, though largely due to higher ticket prices rather than audience turnout. While Jolly LLB 2 crossed the 1 crore footfall mark with ease, replicating that feat looks out of reach this time.Meanwhile, ‘Homebound’ which is India’s official entry to the Oscars, released on Friday but the film managed to make only around Rs 30 lakhs on the first day.Day wise collection of ‘Jolly LLB 3’:Day 1 [1st Friday] ₹ 12.5 Cr -Day 2 [1st Saturday] ₹ 20 CrDay 3 [1st Sunday] ₹ 21 CrDay 4 [1st Monday] ₹ 5.5 CrDay 5 [1st Tuesday] ₹ 6.5 CrDay 6 [1st Wednesday] ₹ 4.5 CrDay 7 [1st Thursday] ₹ 4 CrWeek 1 Collection ₹ 74 Cr -Day 8 [1st Friday] ₹ 4.00 Cr ** -Total ₹ 78.00 Cr
