Jimmy Kimmel comments about Donald Trump

Jimmy Kimmel comments on Donald Trump following backlash over ‘widow glow’ comment; ‘The hands say so much’

Jimmy Kimmel has once again come under fire for his recent comments about Melania Trump ahead of the assassination attempt at a White House event. While Melania Trump, US President Donald Trump, along with many other politicians, have publicly called him out, Kimmel was not far behind with sharing a response through his show, ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

Jimmy Kimmel comments about Donald Trump following backlash

A few days ago, TV presenter and personality Jimmy Kimmel went viral after he commented that the First Lady had the “glow like an expectant widow.” A few days after this, a gunman opened fire at the White House Correspondents Association dinner. While Kimmel’s comments were called out by the Trump administration, along with many other politicians and netizens, Kimmel also shared his comments on the matter. In another one of his latest episodes, Kimmel commented about the US President and stated, “Our first couple, Donald and Melania, who lately have seemed closer than ever ― and I like to think I played a part in that.” He also played a video of Melania Trump and Donald Trump attending a public event and briefly holding hands. However, slowly they let go of each other’s hands, to which Kimmel added, “The hands say so much.”He added more to the segment, further adding that “You know what? Considering the week I’ve had with the first couple, I’m just gonna say that is a completely normal way to interact for two people who are very much in love. Maybe that’s why his hands are all bruised – from Melania swatting them away.”

8 TV channels to be subjected to licence review

Following backlash for Kimmel’s comment about Melania Trump ahead of the White House shooting, the FCC has ordered approximately 8 TV channels to go under a license review, which was earlier scheduled for October 2028. The TV provider that hosts ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ is also included in the list.

Jimmy Kimmel’s show cancellation last year

This is not the first time that the Trump administration has taken action against Kimmel. Last year, after his comment about Charlie Kirk’s passing garnered a lot of backlash, his show was taken off the air for a few days. However, many people rallied against and criticized the move, citing that it was infringing upon a person’s freedom to speech. After a few days, Kimmel’s show returned on air and even recorded millions of viewers across the country. Go to Source
