Fans are buzzing about the new ‘Anaconda’ film, which features a surprise cameo from Jennifer Lopez, reprising her role from the original. Her brief appearance hints at a potential sequel, with her character expressing interest in a new ‘Anaconda’ movie directed by Doug. The plot follows two struggling filmmakers who attempt to recreate the original’s success.

A major cast member from the original ‘Anaconda’ makes a comeback

The one and only Jennifer Lopez! The actress makes her own cameo in the film, nearing the end, and gives the theatregoers a major surprise. Without providing too many details about the film, Lopez comes in at the very end of the film for a few moments only. In her scene, she visits Doug and then tells him that she “saw your little movie, and I loved it.” She also tells him that she loved it so much that she would like to work on a new ‘Anaconda’ movie, and that she would love for Doug to direct it himself. Many have been left wondering if this scene entails to a possible sequel of the 2025 release.

Plot of the new ‘Anaconda’ film

The new film pays homage to the original series and focuses on two best friends who have not had any success in the filmmaking business. Played By Paul Rudd and Jack Black, they confide in each other and decide to go back to the place where the original ‘Anaconda’ took place to film their own version. They hire a hunter, and go through all of the required measures, even spending what little money they have on getting an actual snake. Things however turn to worse when their snake dies on the first day of the shoot and they have to explore the murky waters for a new one.
