Jason Momoa joins MCU as Lobo in ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’

Jason Momoa’s FIRST LOOK as Lobo in 'Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow' revealed - WATCH

Get ready for a fresh take as Milly Alcock’s bold, hard-drinking Supergirl takes center stage in ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’. Adding to the excitement, Jason Momoa makes a striking entrance into the MCU as the rogue anti-hero Lobo. A newly unveiled clip highlights Momoa’s character in a gritty, rock-inspired vibe, encapsulating his dream of embodying this role.

Milly Alcock’s ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’ has been creating a lot of buzz online for its unconventional route to Supergirl’s character. Rather than the usual level-headed ‘save the world’ hero, this year round, the superhero is drunk, irresponsible, and knows who the bad guys are without trying to find the good in them. Along with Alcock, Jason Momoa’s addition to the MCU is also something that fans have been waiting for. The first clip for his character has officially been shared online, and fans cannot seem to get enough.

Jason Momoa joins the MCU as anti-hero Lobo

With the caption, “FINALLY! #LOBO”, Jason Momoa unveiled his first official look at his character in the upcoming ‘Supergirl’ film. In the video, he gets out of his trailer while smoking a cigar and says “finally” to the camera before climbing into a car and laughing at the camera. The clip then cuts to his first intro in the film trailer, where he rides into a chaotic situation on his motorbike with a punk rock look while smoking a cigar. Watch the clip now: Jason Momoa had confirmed the casting by sharing a quote from an interview with Fandango in 2024. This is where he had shared that he had always wanted to play the character. At the time, he had added, “I collect comics, and I don’t do so much anymore, but he was always my favorite, and I always wanted to play Lobo, because I’m like, ‘Hello? It’s the perfect role. I mean, listen. If they call and ask me to play him, it’s a yeah. I haven’t received that call, so I don’t want to put any fake news out there, but if they ever call me and ask me to play, or ask me to audition, I’m there.”

About ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’

The film is the second installment in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s rebooted DC Universe films. It directly follows last year’s ‘Superman’, which first introduced the audiences to Milly Alcock’s Supergirl who arrives at the end of the film at the fortress of solitude, crashing through the wall, drunk, and complaining about who moved the door. She, however, is there for superdog, who sees her and in a bout of joy, grabs her by her cape and smashes her around before the two of them walk away. Go to Source
