Janhvi gets praised for her strong take on physical cheating

Janhvi Kapoor gets praised for her strong take on physical cheating; ‘Clearly, the 28-year-old is saner and has a spine’

Is emotional cheating worse than physical cheating? When this question came on Twinkle Khanna and Kajol’s celebrity talk show, no one was perhaps aware of the internet debate it would spark. It was interesting to see how Twinkle Khanna, Kajol, and Karan Johar were in total sync as they agreed that physical infidelity is not a deal breaker. However, it was more interesting to watch Janhvi Kapoor standing her ground even when it was three against one. Janhvi initially said both are wrong and you can’t choose which one is worse, but when Twinkle Khanna commented, “Raat gayi baat gayi (what happened, happened, move on),” Jahnvi strongly disagreed and said, “bat nahi jati.” Additionally, when Karan Johar said ‘physical infidelity is not a deal breaker,’ Janhvi replied, “It’s already broken.” Later, Twinkle commented that right now Janhvi is in her 20s, by the time she is in her 50s, her opinion will change. Though Janhvi didn’t reply to the comment in words, she didn’t budge from her stance, and now the internet is speaking on her behalf.

Janhvi Kapoor Opens Up On Cosmetic Procedures: ‘I Had My Mom’s Guidance’

Netizens shower love and respect on Janhvi Kapoor for her comment on physical cheating

Sharing the viral clip, a netizen added the text, “Clearly, the 28-year-old is saner and has a spine.” Below the same clip, another internet user wrote, “Jahnvi is the only one with standards here. I’m glad she stood her ground 👏”Reflecting on the entire conversation, a third user mentioned, “Big respect to Janhvi for standing her ground, even when she had to do it alone. It was so disappointing to see those so called role models justifying cheating and saying things like “you’ll eventually get into this circle.” That kind of mindset is so toxic, it really shows how normalized cheating was for that generation.” The same comment further called out Twinkle Khanna for dismissing Janhvi’s point of view because of her age. “And calling Janhvi “too young” just to dismiss her point of view? That’s plain condescending. I’m actually glad our generation doesn’t see cheating whether emotional or physical as something normal. Cheating is cheating. Sometimes it’s the younger ones who show more integrity than the older ones who claim to be wiser. So disappointed but definitely not surprised,” concluded the comment.Another netizen also highlighted, “You’re young” yes and yet she has a more mature intellect than all 3 combined.”“Jhanvi is more adult than these people becuase they r in 50 though but their husbands cheated on them thousands times so they just accepted the truth n adjusted but jhanvi is right becuase she ll never encourage cheating n she z beautiful also ! So yaa,” weighed a netizen.X (formerly called Twitter) also has posts in support of Jahnvi. “Respect for Janhvi Kapoor 👏🏻 I hope she stays the same and keeps away from such a promiscuous culture 🤍,” read a post. While another one wrote, “Janhvi Kapoor was the only sane one on #Twomuch 😭 everyone picking emotional cheating over physical and she’s like “uh both are bad??” 💀 then they gaslight her with “you’ll understand when you’re older” gurl, she’s just happy and secure. Do a nazar utarna for her.”

An expert says justifying physical cheating means normalizing disrespect in a relationship

Meanwhile, a psychologist also chimed in on the whole concept of whether emotional cheating is worse than physical cheating. She mentioned that cheating in any form is wrong and unacceptable. “Psychologically, physical cheating triggers the same part of the brain that gets activated by physical pain, and that’s why it hurts so much,” she said. The expert also highlighted that justifying cheating normalizes disrespect and reflects on suppressed emotions. Go to Source
