Janardhanan reveals his past affair: ‘My wife knew about it’

Janardhanan says, 'I had a relationship with another woman'; says his wife knew everything

Veteran Malayalam star Janardhanan has shared the story of an extramarital affair he profoundly regrets, revealing that his wife was not in the dark about it. He also praised co-stars Mammootty and Mohanlal for their hidden acts of kindness that have greatly impacted his journey.

Malayalam cinema’s beloved actor Janardhanan has captured the hearts of every Malayali audiences as a comedian, villain, and character actor in many popular movies. In a recent candid interview with a YouTube channel, the veteran opened up about a personal decision he now regrets — a relationship he had outside his marriage nearly two decades ago.

‘I had a relationship with another woman’

“Most of the decisions I’ve made in my life were right, but one I took 18 years ago turned out to be wrong,” he admitted. “I had a relationship with another woman, and my wife knew about it. I did everything I could for that woman, but after a few years, she grew tired of the situation and decided to end it.”Janardhanan further shared that his wife, whom he married despite family opposition, came from a strong background. “She was beautiful, well-educated, and we led a good life together,” he said.

Everyone used to call Mohanlal ‘ ‘Poovan Pazham’

Speaking warmly about his long-time co-stars, Janardhanan praised Mammootty and Mohanlal for their generosity. “They have done countless acts of kindness that the public doesn’t know about. They treat me like their own brother,” he shared. He revealed that just 3 days back Mammootty funded the operation of kid under 14 years of age.Adding a lighter touch, he recalled Mohanlal’s youthful charm: “He was very handsome when he was young. Everyone used to call him Poovam Pazham— even though he doesn’t know I used to call him that,” Janardhanan said.

From the air force to cinema’s heart

Before stepping into films, Janardhanan served in the Indian Air Force. Later he chose to pursue his passion for acting. Meanwhile, Janardhanan was recently seen in the Mohanlal and Sathyan Anthikad’s feel good drama film ‘Hridayapoorvam’ which turned out to be a superhit. Go to Source
