While fans are emotional after watching Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘One last dance’ in theaters, director H. Vinoth shared an exciting update regarding ‘Jana Nayagan’. The filmmaker revealed in a recent event that six scenes removed from the final theatrical cut may soon be restored and screened in cinemas.The announcement came during the film’s success celebration in Chennai, where the cast and crew interacted with fans following the movie’s impressive theatrical run.When asked whether the film had any deleted footage, Vinoth confirmed that several sequences had been left out of the final version.

Comedy, action and emotional moments

Speaking about the deleted portions, H. Vinoth explained that the scenes feature different shades of Vijay’s character and include a balanced mix of humour, action and emotions.As quoted by Hindustan Times, he said, “Yes, there are six scenes that we had deleted. There are two fun (comedy) scenes featuring sir (Vijay), two action scenes and two other emotional scenes.”

When will the new version release?

Vinoth also addressed questions about when the deleted scenes could become part of the theatrical version. The director clarified that the final decision rests with the production team. He indicated that discussions are underway. The revised version could reach theatres as early as next week. He said, “It depends on what production has planned.” When the event host suggested that the director should have the final word, Vinoth replied, “No, I am ready. We will think about adding them from next week or so.”An official update from the ‘Jana Nayagan’ team is awaited.

‘Jana Nayagan’ witnesses Monday slowdown

Meanwhile, ‘Jana Nayagan’ has entered its first working week after enjoying a strong opening weekend at the box office. According to Sacnilk, the film collected an estimated Rs 10.15 crore net in India on Day 5.The latest figure represents a 68.3% drop compared to Sunday’s Rs 32 crore net collection. With Day 5 collections included, ‘Jana Nayagan’ has taken its India net collection to Rs 134.90 crore, while the India gross collection has reached Rs 157.74 crore.On Monday, ‘Jana Nayagan’ earned Rs 4 crore gross internationally, taking its overseas total to Rs 75.50 crore gross. The worldwide gross collection has now climbed to an estimated Rs 233.24 crore.If the additional scenes are added next week, then ‘Jana Nayagan’ may witness a boost in its collections even more. Apart from Vijay, the actioner features Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles. Go to Source
