Jamie Lee Curtis says motherhood brought her closer to Nicole Kidman

Jamie Lee Curtis says motherhood brought her closer to Nicole Kidman on ‘Scarpetta’: ‘We’re both mothers of two daughters’

During the production of ‘Scarpetta,’ Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis found an unexpected kinship, connecting over the challenges and joys of motherhood. Their relatable experiences and mutual respect for one another’s professional paths crafted a unique alliance.

Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis share something more in common than their upcoming film ‘Scarpetta.’ The actors also bond over their journeys as parents. Nicole and Jamie both have daughters with their partners, and this common ground acted as the catalyst for their connection while filming ‘Scarpetta.’

Motherhood brought them together

“We both are the mothers of two daughters,” Jamie Lee, who shares Annie Guest, 39, and Ruby Guest, 30, with husband Christopher Guest told E!News. The 67-year-old added, “We share that we both have a respect and a professional appreciation for the fact that we get this life, that we get to do this job, and that from that comes responsibility.”As for Nicole Kidman, who shares two daughters with ex-husband Keith Urban, Jamies says, “(We) both recognized their mutual responsibility in getting projects like Scarpetta, a thriller based on Patricia Cornwell’s novel series.“We are employing people,” Jamie Lee, who plays Nicole’s sister in the series, continued. “We are bosses and making that example for people, so I think that’s crucial.”

When Jamie Lee Curtis and Nicole Kidman found each other in grief

More recently, Jamie Lee shared that she and Nicole were able to come together after the sudden death of a mutual friend, whom she did not name. “Both of us were crushed, and we found each other in our grief,” she added. “We feel a lot for each other. We have sister energy for sure.”Meanwhile, Nicole, also mom to children Bella Cruise, 33, and Connor Cruise, 31, with ex Tom Cruise, echoed the love. “I don’t think there’s anyone in this industry that does not bond with Jamie Lee,” she said before adding. “There’s nobody who doesn’t go, ‘Oh yeah, Jamie Lee Curtis, she’s one of my best friends.’ She’s capable of that.” Go to Source
