Inside Shah Rukh Khan’ssimple ‘two meals a day’ and fitness secrets

Shah Rukh Khan at 60: Inside superstar's simple 'two meals a day' clean, protein-rich diet and fitness secrets

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan turned 60 years old with his usual disciplined habits and fitness as if age is just a number. SRK is also a trendsetter not only in cinema but also in health and discipline. Even at 60, his physique is sharp and toned, which keeps fans wondering how the “King of Bollywood” stays fit with his busy, unpredictable schedule. Here’s a closer look.

SRK’s fitness philosophy

In an old conversation with RJ Devanggana, Khan said his meals are simple, and his smart eating habits are the key to his fitness and consistency. He explained that unlike many celebrities who follow strict or elaborate diet plans, he keeps his meals straightforward and light. “I naturally like simple food. I eat only two meals a day—lunch and dinner. I don’t eat anything else. Mujhe pakwan pasand nahi (I don’t like fancy foods),” he shared. He typically eats broccoli, grilled chicken, sprouts, and a small amount of dal for his daily meals.

He is not overly rigid; he follows his clean, protein-rich diet, but during gatherings or travelling, he also eats traditional meals like biryani, roti, paratha, ghee, and lassi. His balanced approach to food is reflected in his eating habits. He said, “I don’t diet; I just prefer eating light and healthy.”

SRK’s unconventional fitness schedule

His fitness discipline extends beyond diet. Shah Rukh’s schedule is famously unconventional—he often sleeps at 5 a.m. “When Mark Wahlberg wakes up, I’m going to sleep,” he once joked. He highlights that dedication is more important than timing by scheduling time to work out before bed, usually around 2 in the morning, even after late-night shoots.

On the work front

On the work front, the actor last appeared in three back-to-back 2023 films, ‘Pathaan’, ‘Jawan’, and ‘Dunki’. He is currently filming ‘King’, a Siddharth Anand helmed venture with his daughter Suhana Khan, alongside Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, and Arshad Warsi. Go to Source
