India vs Pakistan: Zayed Khan backs Team India ahead of Asia Cup 2025 clash - ‘A damn good team, 100% jeetne waali hai’

Bollywood actor Zayed Khan has come out in full support of Team India before their high-voltage Asia Cup 2025 clash against Pakistan. Confident about the Men in Blue’s form, Zayed declared that India will dominate the tournament, calling them a “damn good team.”During a chat with ANI, the actor didn’t mince words. He said, “India is going to kick everybody’s you know what out of the park. I think India is a damn good team and mujhe lagta hai ki 100% India jeetne waali hai.”

On India vs Pakistan matches

When asked about the political debate around whether India should continue playing Pakistan, Zayed dismissed the concerns and stressed on the unifying power of sport. “Kyun nahin yaar. Sports sports hote hain. Usme kya hai. Vahan jitne thode bahut sambandh ban sakte hain, banne do,” he remarked, making it clear that cricket should remain above politics.

India riding high on momentum

India, led by Suryakumar Yadav, started their campaign with a crushing nine-wicket victory against the UAE in Dubai. The defending champions bowled out UAE for just 57 runs in 13.1 overs before chasing the target with ease.With momentum behind them, India will now take on Pakistan on September 14 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The much-anticipated encounter will be the sixth match of the Asia Cup 2025 and also Suryakumar’s first outing as captain against the arch-rivals. Interestingly, the two teams could meet multiple times during the tournament, including in the final.
