'Idli Kadai' box office collection day 3: Dhanush’s directorial holds steady, collects over Rs 26 crore in India

‘Idli Kadai’made it to the big screens on October 1. Directed and starring Dhanush, the film was released with a magical story set in a village setting and generated great interest among the fans. The film, which received high bookings on the first day, had a great opening in theaters. Being a festive release, the audience welcomed it enthusiastically.

‘Idli Kadai’ held steady on Day 2 despite a slight dip

‘Idli Kadai’, released in Tamil and Telugu, received a strong start on the first day. As per Sacnilk, on day 1, India’s net collection was Rs 11 crore. Of this, Rs 10.35 crore was recorded by the Tamil version and Rs 0.65 crore by the Telugu version. The film continued to collect Rs 9.75 crore on day 2. Of this, Tamil collected Rs 9 crore and Telugu collected Rs 0.75 crore. Despite a drop on the second day, the film received a steady response from the audience. The total collection for the two days is ₹20.75 crore in India, while the global collection is said to be around Rs 25 crore.

Though industry sources were expecting a bigger number on day 3, ‘Idli Kadai’ collected around Rs 5.50 crore as per initial estimates. This brings the total collection in three days to Rs 26.25 crore. Despite a strong start, the low collection on the third day has raised curiosity about how the collection will be in the coming days.

Dhanush delivers a heartfelt rural tale

Dhanush, who delivered his fourth film as a director, has once again proved his skills to fans through ‘Idli Kadai’. The director-actor has come up with a unique story for the rural drama.
