Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’ achieved record-breaking success at the box office. While each and every performance garnered appreciation from the audience, Akshaye Khanna’s character of Rehman Dakait received massive love. His casual dance step on the song ‘FA9LA’ by Flipperachi in the film went viral on the internet. And now, considering the buzz, the makers are set to reportedly bring the character in the second part as well. Let’s learn more about it.

Rehman Dakait to return in ‘Dhurandhar 2’

According to the NDTV report, the makers have already shot ‘Dhurandhar 2’, and now they are planning to re-shoot some selective scenes. As per the report, the filming will begin at the end of this month. Aditya Dhar is personally involved in the process. The reshoots involve Akshaye Khanna sequences.For those who haven’t watched it even now, Khanna’s character of Rehman Dakait dies in the first installment. And if everything falls in place, according to the reports, the audience might get to watch him on the big screen once again in part 2.It will be interesting to see how Dhar will incorporate Dakait’s character in the movie once again. The report further shared that the makers might use flashbacks to include Akshaye Khanna’s scenes.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film will continue from where part one ended. It will reportedly show the rise of Ranveer Singh’s character, Hamza, in the terror group of Lyari Town in Pakistan after the death of Rehman Dakait.The movie is set to hit theaters on March 19, 2026. It will clash with Yash’s highly anticipated film ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’ at the box office.

The Aditya Dhar directorial featured Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun. The movie was released in theaters on December 5, 2025. It has raked in over Rs 1200 crore and is nearing Rs 1300 crore at the global box office.
