Ibrahim plays cricket, reminds netizens of Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi

'Acting chodh, cricketer bann jaa': Video of Ibrahim Ali Khan playing cricket reminds netizens of grandfather Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi

Ibrahim Ali Khan’s impressive cricket skills in a viral video have drawn comparisons to his grandfather, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. This comes after Khan candidly admitted his debut film, ‘Naadaaniyaan,’ was “really bad” and acknowledged the harsh criticism he faced. He hopes for a more balanced reception to his future projects.

Ibrahim Ali Khan has often been in the news for various reasons. While on one hand, he has been trolled for his film Naadaaniya, on the other, he often receives love for his fun banter with the paparazzi. The young actor has now grabbed attention online for a new reason.

Viral video shows Ibrahim batting like a pro

A video of Ibrahim playing cricket in Mumbai surfaced online and quickly went viral and netizens have been reacting to it. In the viral video, Ibrahim is seen confidently batting and showing off some impressive footwork on the field. Fans were quick to compare him to his legendary grandfather, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, the former Indian cricket captain.

Netizens react to Ibrahim’s cricket skills

As soon as the video started doing the rounds, comments poured in from all sides. While one user wrote, ‘Bhai tu acting chodh kar cricketer ban ja,’ another one added, ‘Proper khel raha hai.’ A user also commented, ‘Cricket in the blood and veins… we love cricket.’ ‘True copy of grandfather,’ read another comment.

Ibrahim on facing criticism for Naadaaniya

In a recent interview with Esquire India, Ibrahim admitted ‘Nadaaniyan’ was a “really bad film” and shared how the criticism affected him. He said, “Not too long ago, they were all waiting for my launch, and after ‘Nadaaniyan’, the hype has dropped real bad. They’ve trolled me nonstop. ‘He won’t be able to do it only’. It’s a massive low… and I constantly feel bad about it.”He did not shy away from admitting the film’s flaws. “I’m just gonna go on record and say that it was a really bad film. It was really bad. It became a sort of culture to, ‘Oh, let’s troll that film’. There were people who were trolling it just because they heard that some other person was trolling it. That’s uncalled for,” he explained.

Hopes for a balanced response in the future

Even though the criticism was harsh, Ibrahim expressed a desire for balanced reactions in the future. “But if I now give a blockbuster in the future, I want the same kind of response. They should go mad after me,” he added.Ibrahim reflected on his debut and admitted he may have rushed into the project. “Of course, I was working very hard, like I’m still working hard on my speech issue. But in a way, I feel I must have rushed into that movie. I was 21 when I began shooting for it, others around me are doing it at 26, 27, 28, and I now think I could have been more mindful of the scale of what was going to happen,” he said. Go to Source
