While talking about the experience of shooting for ‘Jeans’, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had said: “I was not made to feel like an outsider. I was not made to feel like a ‘Mumbai girl’. They made me feel very comfortable with the language and the environment. It was like being with family. I didn’t feel like a stranger for a moment. They gave me the courage to say even long-shot dialogue in one take,” she had said.

In the same interview, Aishwarya Rai recalled her journey from ‘Iruvar’ to ‘Jeans’ as a very pleasant transition. “The transition from the Iruvar crew to the ‘Jeans’ crew was a big development for me. Shankar sir and his team gave me a lot of confidence. That film gave me the courage to act in Tamil and in acting. Also, the character of ‘Jeans’ was designed to express both dimensions of me,” she had said.
