Time and time again, fans of the witch franchise have expressed their wish to have another film. Recently, a lot of old cult classics, such as ‘The Devil Wears Prada’, ‘Freaky Friday’, and ‘Practical Magic’, have all been getting sequels and remakes. ‘Hocus Pocus’ has also officially joined the list!During her appearance on ‘Watch What Happens Next’, one of the original Sanderson sisters revealed that the script for the third film is set and ready, and she has already caught a glimpse of the upcoming story. She revealed that, “Well, you know, they sent a script, and a lot of it was brilliant, so I got very excited, and now we’re trying to figure out what it is and where it’s going to be and how much it’s going to cost and all those logistical things.”

About the ‘Hocus Pocus’ franchise

The original film about the three Sanderson sisters was released all the way back in 1993, and over the years, it has become a cult classic on its own. In 2022, a much-awaited comeback brought ‘Hocus Pocus’ 2 to online OTT platforms across the world. Unexpectedly, the film managed to do big upon its release, after which, the third film’s confirmation was shared. Since then, not much news has been shared about the upcoming project; however, all of the cast members have expressed their excitement about the possibility of a third film. The original line up of the film includes Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker. There have been no news about who all will return in the third film along with the original trio.
