Hansika slams rumours of taking growth hormones at a young age

Hansika Motwani slams rumours of taking growth hormones at a young age: 'All rubbish, I cry until the medicine...'

The intense scrutiny faced by celebrities over their appearance continues to spark conversations, especially when speculation around cosmetic procedures or treatments dominates headlines. Actor Hansika Motwani experienced this firsthand during her early years, when she was accused of using ‘growth hormones’. Addressing these long-standing rumours, she recently dismissed them during an interview. Hansika said during a chat with Hauterrfly on The Male Feminist, “It’s all rubbish. The media will push anything for clickbait, and if it’s working for them, then good enough. This news was in every newspaper because they needed such things to make headlines. You see me when I get an injection, to date, I cry until the medicine dries up.”

She also responded to speculation about undergoing cosmetic procedures, saying, “Even though my mom’s a dermat, she does not let me touch my skin. I think now people don’t body shame as much.”Reflecting on how beauty standards have evolved, she added, “This is because we all embrace how we look. This is one of the internet’s pros, but it also has many cons. Back then, it was compulsory to look a certain way, be of a certain size, but nowadays all such impositions have disappeared. One has to be themselves.”The actor further opened up about dealing with emotional challenges early in life, sharing, “Heartbreaks are tough. But nowadays, there are many tools to get over a heartbreak, so that’s an upgrade.”Hansika Motwani was also recently in the news over her divorce with Sohael Khaturiya after four years of marriage. She also opened up on her divorce in the same interview. “My family doesn’t pressurise me for anything. People wanted clickbait, they got it. They wanted headlines, they got it. I have never clarified it, nor will I because it doesn’t matter to me. It’s fine. I have no regrets. It’s better to get off the train if you got onto a wrong train than suffer. So it’s fine, it’s okay. I have immense support from my family. I have no regrets. So I am very happy where I am,” she said.
