Hande Ercel DENIES calling Shah Rukh Khan ‘UNCLE’

Hande Ercel DENIES calling Shah Rukh Khan 'UNCLE'; shuts down viral screenshot: 'This is fake'

Turkish star Hande Ercel has officially shut down claims that she referred to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan as “uncle” in her social media post. The clarification comes straight from the actress, amid heightened social media buzz after she was spotted secretly filming Shah Rukh Khan at an international awards ceremony. A video doing the rounds shows the actress seated in the audience, smiling as she recorded SRK on stage, presenting an award alongside her friend, Amina Kalil. The moment won over fans who gushed over Handle and her “fangirl” moment.

About Hande Ercel’s viral post

Ercel also later reshared the clip on her Instagram Stories, further adding to the excitement among SRK’s fans. However, a screenshot of her post later went viral with the caption, “Who is this uncle I was just filming my friend @aminakalilofficial, I am not his fan!! Please stop spreading false information!!”

Hande Ercel denies calling Shah Rukh Khan uncle

Replying to the viral screenshot, Ercel responded to the morphed post, saying, “This is false.”

Shah Rukh Khan fans thank Hande Ercel

Fans of the actress, particularly from India, extended an apology and also thanked her for shutting down the online hate. One user responded, “From Shah Rukh Khan fans, I thank you for clarifying this. SRK haters use everyone and everything to spread lies about him to insult him. Thank you for stepping in and putting a stop to this hate campaign. Also, I apologise for the discomfort this has caused you.”Another wrote, “We will always be here to defend you, I’m so sorry you have to go through this,” while a third added, “Respect to Hande Erçel for calling out fake narratives.”

On the work front

Shah Rukh is currently busy working on his film ‘King’. The film, also starring Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan and others is rumoured to be eyeing a late 2026 release. However, an official confirmation is still awaited from director Siddharth Anand who has been teasing a big announcement coming up soon. Go to Source
