‘Hai Jawani Toh’ Day 4: Film grosses over Rs 42 cr globally

'Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai' box office collection Day 4: Varun Dhawan's film grosses over Rs 42 crore globally on first Monday

Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde, and Mrunal Thakur starrer ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ enjoyed a successful first weekend at the box office. Despite mixed reviews from the audience as well as the critics, the movie managed to rake in over Rs 37 crore worldwide in the first three days. However, the first Monday test showcased the actual pull of the film at the theatres.

The David Dhawan directorial earned Rs 7.50 crore on its debut day at the cinemas. The film went on to rake in the same amount on its day 2. The third day added another Rs 9 crore to its total collection. Now, according to the Sacnilk report, on Day 4, the Varun Dhawan starrer has witnessed a drop of 61.1% compared to its previous day’s collection. The film has minted Rs 3.50 crore across 7,835 shows on Day 4.With that, the total India net collection has reached Rs 27.50 crore, while the total India gross collection now stands at Rs 32.93 crore.Meanwhile, overseas, the Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde starrer collected Rs 1.00 crore on Day 4, taking its total overseas gross to Rs 9.50 crore. This has pushed the worldwide gross collection to Rs 42.43 crore.

Box office clash

The romantic comedy directed by David Dhawan clashed with Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Bandar’, starring Bobby Deol, at the box office. It is also sharing screens with Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer ‘Peddi’ and ‘He-Man and the Masters of the Universe’.
