Dot Rotten’s rise in grime and chart success

Dot Rotten rose to prominence during the early grime era and later found wider recognition with his 2012 single Overload. Over the years, he collaborated with several prominent artists, including Ed Sheeran, Cher Lloyd, Chip and D Double E.Born and raised in Stockwell in south London, Ellis-Stevenson built a reputation in the grime scene for his lyrical ability and production skills. In later years, he increasingly focused on producing music under the name Zeph Ellis.

Following the news of his passing, several figures from the music industry shared their condolences and memories online.Music manager Bouncer Play Dirty paid tribute on Instagram, writing, “Thoughts go out to his family. RIP to the brother.”British rapper Sway also expressed his grief, posting, “Very sad news.
