Gal Gadot had a ‘Massive Clot’ during her pregnancy

Gal Gadot had a 'Massive Clot' during her pregnancy with her fourth child, Ori; ‘Wonder Woman’ actress recalls, ‘All I could think, am I going to die?’

Gal Gadot, or as her fans love to call her, ‘Wonder Woman,’ is a superhero not just on the screen but in real life as well. In December 2024, the ‘Heart of Stone’ actress, for the very first time, revealed that she suffered from a massive blood clot during her pregnancy with daughter Ori. And recently, at an award function, the actress recalled the same, as she thanked the medical professionals who took care of both her and her daughter during the difficult time.

Gal Gadot was diagnosed with Cerebral Venous Thrombosis

According to Variety, Gal Gadot spoke about juggling work, family, and everything when she ignored the headaches. “Last year, my life took an unexpected turn. I was eight months pregnant, juggling family, work, and everything in-between, when I started to feel the kind of headache that makes the world stop for three weeks,” she said. It was in February 2025, she got an MRI, after her mother convinced her, and that is when she got to know how search the matter was. “Before we even got back home, my phone rang, and my doctor said, ‘You need to come to the hospital right now. It’s serious. You have a massive brain clot,’” she recalled.Gadot was diagnosed with Cerebral Venous Thrombosis (CVT), which means presence of a blood clot in the dural venous sinuses, the cerebral veins, or both. The actress recalled being scared as she saw everything falling right in front of her eyes. “From that moment, I just could not understand anything. English was out the window. My husband was speaking to different doctors, and all I could think was, Am I going to die? Is this how it feels before you die? Are they going to be able to save me?… Is the baby going to be okay?”

Gal Gadot’s second chance at life

The actress then recalled how the doctors delivered her daughter in three hours, and along with this new blessing in her arms, they also took care of the ailment. “The next morning, while my husband held our tiny newborn, my incredible doctors performed the procedure that saved my life, and when I woke up, I realized that I had been given two gifts, one in my arms, Ori, and one in my heart, a second chance,” Gadot said.

Gal Gadot advocates not to ignore the signs that your body sends

As the actress concluded her speech, she gave a piece of advice to all. The ‘Red Notice’ star said that one must pay attention to the signs that the body sends, and trust them. “Through this journey, I learned something that every woman, everyone actually, should remember — if your body whispers that something is wrong, listen. If your heart says, ‘This doesn’t feel right,’ trust it. Advocating for yourself isn’t a weakness. It’s an act of love,” she quoted. Go to Source
