More about Trevor Dietz

The famed manager was a regular face for Fontaines D.C. fans and was a loved honorary member of the Irish group. In 2016, he discovered Fontaines D.C. while booking artists at Dublin’s Workman’s Club. The band signed with him in the same year and then later released their debut album titled ‘Dogrel.’ The band was signed under the same label that also manages bands like Arctic Monkeys and Royal Blood, to name a few.In an old appearance at MIX Course in 2019, Dietz had opened up about what it was like to meet the group for the first time. He had shared, “I wouldn’t have worked with the band if they hadn’t had huge expectations and huge dreams. If other people had heard the conversation that day, they would have gone, ‘Jesus, these guys are nuts, it’s not going to happen’, but I knew we could go well beyond Ireland with this. So, first and foremost, you need a band that shares your vision and who are reliable, accountable, and honest.”Dietz had been with the group since he signed them exactly 10 years ago, and had continued on as a close friend with all of the members as well.
