FIR filed against SRK, Deepika for endorsing faulty car

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone face legal heat; lawyer files complaint for endorsing faulty car: Report

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone have found themselves in a legal soup. Along with six Hyundai officials, the actors have been named in an FIR lodged in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, over allegations linked to the promotion of a car that a customer claims had serious defects.

Lawyer’s car complaint sparks legal storm

According to a report, the case began when Kirti Singh, a lawyer from Bharatpur, purchased a Hyundai Alcazar in 2022 from Malwa Auto Sales Pvt Ltd in Sonipat. She paid an advance of Rs 51,000 and took a loan for the rest. Singh said the dealership promised her a completely problem-free vehicle. But soon after the purchase, she began facing several technical problems. She further highlighted that the most serious issues were linked to the accelerator and the engine management system. These repeated malfunctions, she claims, put her family’s safety at risk while travelling.

Customer alleges defects were ignored by the company

Though Singh repeatedly reported the problems, she says no effective solution was offered. Neither repair nor a refund was provided by the company. Frustrated with the lack of response, she decided to take legal action.

SRK and Deepika named in FIR

Reportedly, acting on Singh’s complaint, a Bharatpur court directed Mathura Gate police station to register an FIR. The case names Hyundai’s Managing Director Ansoo Kim, Chief Operating Officer Tarun Garg, and directors of Malwa Auto Sales Pvt Ltd.In addition, Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone have also been named. The lawyer alleged that the stars, who served as brand ambassadors, promoted vehicles that later turned out to have defects.

Police investigation begins into car complaint

Further report claims that with the FIR now registered, the Mathura Gate police have started their investigation. The case is under review, and legal steps will follow based on evidence gathered. At present, neither Shah Rukh Khan nor Deepika Padukone has spoken publicly about the allegations or the case filed against them.

Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film

Shah Rukh Khan will be next seen in the film titled ‘King’. Directed by Siddharth Anand, who previously worked with him in ‘Pathaan’, the movie also stars Shah Rukh’s daughter Suhana Khan.Reports have hinted that Deepika Padukone may also feature in the film, adding to the buzz. If confirmed, it will be another collaboration between the two stars after successful films such as ‘Om Shanti Om’, ‘Chennai Express’, and ‘Pathaan’.

Deepika Padukone’s upcoming projects

Deepika, meanwhile, is preparing for Atlee’s ambitious sci-fi project, tentatively called ‘AA22xA6’. In this franchise film, she will be seen alongside Telugu superstar Allu Arjun. Go to Source
