Though he knew it was him playing a character on the screen and it was the character looking at the camera, to him it felt as if Chamkila was watching him. He said, “The first time I saw the trailer of Amar Singh Chamkila was backstage on the day of the trailer launch. There was a shot in the film where I had to sit in the field, turn around, look at the camera, and smile, but when I saw that shot in the trailer, where my character of Chamkila, turned around and looked at me, I felt like Chamkila himself was watching me and smiling. That got me very emotional; I could actually feel Chamkila’s presence there. ”

They never get the love they deserve,” he shared.Lauding the late artist Dosanjh added, “Chamkila was a hundred times better an artist than I am, and I want to thank Chamkila for giving me the chance to do his biopic.
