Eurovision 2026 Grand Finale: Where to watch, time and full guide to Vienna’s biggest music night

Eurovision is one of the most beloved and longest-running music competitions in the world, bringing together dozens of countries each year for a spectacular live song contest. First created to unite a war-torn Europe through music, the event has grown into a global phenomenon over the past seven decades. This year, Eurovision returns for its landmark 70th edition in Vienna, Austria — and the Grand Final is finally here.

When and where is the Eurovision 2026 Grand Final

The Grand Final takes place on Saturday, May 16, live from Vienna’s Wiener Stadthalle. Austria earned the hosting rights after winning the 2025 contest with the song ‘Wasted Love’, performed by JJ (Johannes Pietsch). After two semifinal rounds on May 12 and May 14, 25 countries have made it through to tonight’s Grand Final.

How to watch the Eurovision 2026 Grand Final

Coverage begins at 8pm on BBC One, iPlayer, Radio 2, and BBC Sounds. Graham Norton will be providing commentary for BBC One and iPlayer, while Rylan and Sara Cox will cover the show for BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds. For U.S. viewers, the Grand Final can be streamed live on Peacock or YouTube, with coverage starting at 3 p.m. ET.

Who is hosting Eurovision 2026

The Grand Final will be hosted by Victoria Swarovski and Michael Ostrowski. The show will open with a performance by 2025 winner JJ, followed by interval acts celebrating the contest’s 70th anniversary, including electro-swing artist Parov Stelar and Austrian legend César Sampson. How the Eurovision 2026 winner will be decided

The champion will be determined by a combination of points from national juries and viewer votes in participating countries, along with a separate rest of the world vote. For the first time, UK viewers can cast their votes online only via esc.vote or the official Eurovision Song Contest App, allowing up to 10 votes at 15p each — though voting for their own country is not permitted.
