Pradeep Ranganathan’s hilarious romp ‘Dude’ has taken the box office by storm, grossing an impressive Rs 40 crore within its first four days. The film’s numbers soared not just over the weekend but continued to shine well into the week, propelled primarily by the Tamil audience’s enthusiasm.

Pradeep Ranganathan’s latest comedy entertainer ‘Dude’ continues its winning streak at the box office. Directed by Keerthiswaran, the film has crossed the Rs 40 crore mark within just four days of release, maintaining a steady trend even after a high-powered weekend.According to early estimates from Sacnilk, Dude earned around Rs 10 crore (India net) on its fourth day, taking its total domestic collection to Rs 40.75 crore across all languages.The film’s daily numbers have remained consistent — Day 1 at Rs 9.75 crore, Day 2 at Rs 10.4 crore, Day 3 at Rs 10.6 crore, and Day 4 steady at Rs 10 crore. This shows minimal drop despite being a weekday.

Tamil version drives the box office success

The Tamil version continues to lead ‘Dude’s box office performance. On Monday (October 20), the film registered an impressive 56.98% occupancy in Tamil Nadu. The afternoon and night shows saw particularly strong turnouts as the occupancy levels stood at 70.70% and 67.38%, respectively.Meanwhile, the Telugu version held moderate traction. It had 24.80% overall occupancy. Morning shows stood at 22.74%, while the afternoon and evening sessions hovered around 34.19% and 21.68%.

Cast chemistry and word of mouth

Pradeep Ranganathan, Mamitha Baiju, R. Sarathkumar, Rohini, and Hridhu Haroon leads the film. ‘Dude’ is receiving decent reviews from the audiences.
