Director Vijay hails Ajith’s racing feat

Director Vijay hails Ajith’s racing feat, says Tamil actor's Le Mans journey will be remembered for years

Actor Ajith Kumar has always shown great interest in motor sports over the past year, despite being actively engaged in his movies. He most recently participated in the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France, regarded as one of the hardest races on the globe. It became historic for Ajith when his team became the first-ever Indian team to take part in the race. The team, using two cars, succeeded in securing ninth and thirteenth places in their own categories respectively.

Director Vijay thanks Ajith for the documentary opportunity

Director Vijay, who is currently making a documentary on Ajith’s racing journey, shared an emotional note thanking the actor for inviting him to witness and document the event. Calling it a once-in-a-lifetime experience, as reported by Nakkheeran, Vijay said, “My heartfelt thanks to Ajith sir for inviting me to witness and capture the historic 24 Hours of Le Mans.” He further described the event as more than just a race, adding, “Le Mans is one of the most prestigious and demanding sporting events in the world.” The filmmaker expressed pride in being able to document Ajith taking on such an extraordinary challenge on the global stage.

Ajith’s Le Mans journey is a milestone for Indian motorsport

Vijay highlighted that Ajith’s participation in the Michelin Le Mans Cup, an official support series to the legendary race, is a landmark moment for Indian motorsport. He pointed out that competing at Le Mans is a dream for every racing enthusiast, as it tests skill, endurance, and courage. According to him, Ajith and his teammates carried India’s hopes to the international stage. “This is not just Ajith sir’s personal achievement but a proud moment for the entire nation,” Vijay stated, underlining the significance of the accomplishment.

Director Vijay believes Ajith’s achievement will be remembered for years

The filmmaker also praised Ajith’s teammates, including Karthik Naren, Aditya Patel, and Romain Vosniak, for their efforts during the challenging race week. Car No. 16, driven by Ajith and Romain Vosniak, finished ninth in the Pro-Am category, while Car No. 36 secured thirteenth place in the Pro division. Vijay believes Ajith’s participation at Le Mans will be remembered as a turning point in India’s international motorsport journey. He concluded by wishing the team many more victories and unforgettable racing experiences in the future. Go to Source
