Did Siddharth take a dig at Vanga, Prabhas in b’day wish for SRK?

Did Siddharth Anand take a dig at Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Prabhas in his birthday wish for Shah Rukh Khan? Fans think so!

Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his 60th birthday on November 2, 2025. While he had a fan meet and greet on the occasion, he rang in his birthday at his house in Alibaug with friends and family. Many of his close friends attended his birthday party. Meanwhile, the actor was flooded with wishes from his fans and friends from the industry, on social media. Among the many messages, one that stood out came from filmmaker Siddharth Anand, not only for its warmth but also for what fans suspect was a cheeky dig at Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The ‘Pathaan’ director shared a heartfelt note along with an unseen photo of the superstar, captioning it: “When stars go beyond being ‘just a superstar’ they are called (king’s crown emoji). Happy Birthday INDIA’s KING.” Fans immediately connected the dots, believing it was a response to the “India’s Biggest Superstar” tag used in the teaser of Prabhas’ upcoming film ‘Spirit’. For context, on October 25, Sandeep Reddy Vanga unveiled an audio teaser for ‘Spirit’, describing Prabhas as “India’s Biggest Superstar.” That line didn’t sit well with Shah Rukh’s massive fanbase, who were quick to remind the makers that the true ‘King’ of Bollywood still rules. So when Siddharth dropped his birthday message, many saw it as a cleverly veiled comeback. Social media erupted with reactions. One user joked, “No Vanga was harmed.” Another commented, “He is taking dig at the ‘Spirit’ announcement video.” A third quipped, “What a spirit full birthday wish,” while another added, “This is the battle we need for entertainment. Vanga vs Sid.”Adding to the celebratory buzz, Shah Rukh Khan unveiled the title reveal video of his upcoming film ‘King’ on his birthday. The film is directed by Siddharth Anand. The teaser begins with a sweeping aerial shot of an island facility, setting a dark and intense tone. Most of it unfolds with SRK’s powerful voice-over perfectly synced with rapid, stylised action sequences, before revealing his silver-haired, short-haired look as the feared mercenary. The voice-over paints a chilling picture of the character — a man who has lost count of how many people he has killed, and whether they were good or bad. As his face emerges on screen, he delivers the line, “100 desho’n mein badnaam, duniya ne diya sirf ek hi naam”, “KING.”Packed with sleek visuals, violence, and cinematic flair, one of the most talked-about moments from the teaser is when SRK wields a King of Hearts card as a weapon, a clever nod to his timeless title as the ‘King of Hearts’, both in reel and real life.‘King’ marks Shah Rukh Khan’s second collaboration with Siddharth Anand after ‘Pathaan’. Described as a stylish, high-octane action entertainer, the film is expected to be Siddharth’s most mass-driven project yet — taking his brand of slick, large-scale action storytelling to an entirely new level.
