'Dhurandhar': Rahul Gandhi credited as 'executive producer' in Ranveer Singh starrer; netizens react ahead of first look release with 'Param Sundari'

Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film ‘Dhurandhar’ hit the headlines this week, not for the star cast or film plot, but over a certain ‘Rahul Gandhi’ being credited as an Executive Producer in the teaser.Social media has since been abuzz with speculation that the mystery man mentioned in the credit reel is Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Memes and jokes soon flooded social media handles with netizens tweeting, “Rahul Gandhi’s career changed. Now he’s the executive producer of Dhurandhar.”

Rahul Gandhi credit raises eyebrows

While others shared screenshots of the credit, questioning if the politician had indeed stepped into Bollywood. Another asked in disbelief, “Bhaisahab, which line have you joined?” Another said, “Can someone clarify if this is THE RAHUL GANDHI?”

Who is Producer Rahul Gandhi?

However, the truth is far less dramatic. The Rahul Gandhi credited in Dhurandhar is not the politician, but film producer who has backed several projects from films and web series, including Akshay Kumar’s ‘Rustom’, Manoj Bajpayee and Samantha’s ‘The Family Man’, ‘Rocket Boys’, ‘Blur’, ‘Lucky Bhaskar’ and many more.

‘Dhurandhar’ first look attached with ‘Param Sundari’

According to the latest reports, the first look of Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ is all set to hit the big screen this weekend as it will be attached to the Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor starrer ‘Param Sundari, releasing in cinemas tomorrow. The clip, with a runtime of 2 minutes and 42 seconds, was reportedly certified as U/A 16+ by the CBFC.
