Dhurandhar all set to cross Rs 185 crore mark in North America

Ranveer Singh's 'Dhurandhar' is all set to cross Rs 185 crore mark in North America

‘Dhurandhar’, featuring the charismatic Ranveer Singh, is making waves at the North American box office, smashing records and securing its place as the highest-grossing Hindi film ever in the region. This triumph echoes its extraordinary success back home in India. As fans eagerly await the sequel, set to challenge Yash’s ‘Toxic’ in 2026, the stakes have never been higher!

Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar is scripting one of the most extraordinary North America box office story ( the biggest market for Indian films outside of India) ever witnessed for an Indian film. The epic spy action drama has already become the second highest-grossing Indian film ever in the circuit, trailing only S.S. Rajamouli and Prabhas’ Baahubali 2- The Conclusion, and crucially, it is now the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time in North America, surpassing historical benchmarks set by titles like Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan. On Day 44 of its release in the circuit, Dhurandhar added another USD 75,000, a remarkable hold given the depth of the run and the seasonal competition from Hollywood and domestic titles. Prior to Day 44, the film had earned USD 20.24 million in its first 43 days, taking its running North America total to USD 20.315 million ( Rs 184.30 crore). With sustained momentum in premium, strong word-of-mouth and positive diaspora chatter and lack of big Hindi films, trade trackers are now projecting an eventual lifetime in the USD 21-22 million range, placing the film on track to cross the Baahubali 2’s collection. The overseas success mirrors the film’s extraordinary domestic performance. In India, Dhurandhar has amassed Rs 821.36 crore in 45 days, making it the biggest Hindi film of all time in the domestic market. The timing could not be more critical, as the franchise is expected to continue its journey soon. Dhurandhar 2 also directed by Aditya Dhar is slated for release on March 19, 2026, and will squarely clash with Yash’s highly anticipated Toxic, directed by Geetu Mohandas. With a cast that includes Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Kiara Advani and Rukmini Vasanth, Toxic represents a formidable tentpole competitor and sets up one of the most exciting holiday clashes in recent memory.Dhurandhar 2 will see the return of Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Gaurav Gera, Rakesh Bedi and Sara Arjun. Unfortunatley Akshaye Khanna was gained a lot of praise for his act in the first part wont be there in the second installment.
