Rakesh Bedi on 8-hour shift debate

In an interview with Firstpost, Rakesh Bedi was asked about his take on the 8-hour work shift debate. The actor responded, “It’s not possible in creative fields. If you have to set up a shot; erect a set, it will take at least 6 to 7 hours. But you should be compensated if you are working extra. I will stick to that.” He added that such things seldom happen in the creative field. The veteran star, who has also worked in the TV industry, shared, “In television, we are meeting deadlines all the time. We don’t plan in advance.”He further added that he has seen actors fainting on the sets, and people around don’t know what to do. He concluded, saying, “And the payments come after three months. We have not picked up the good stuff from the West. It’s time we do it.”
