‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’ continues its historic march to becoming the highest earning Indian film of all time. The film that released on March 19, officially completed 50 days at the box office. Starring Ranveer Singh in the lead, the film thus ended its seventh week, but sadly without breaking any record.According to sacnilk, the film earned an estimated Rs 50 lakh on day 50, thus scoring an estimated collection of Rs 5.58 crore at the end of week 7. The blockbuster has now crossed the massive Rs 1,140 crore net mark in India, cementing its place among the biggest Indian films of all time.While collections gradually slowed over subsequent weeks, the film maintained an extraordinary hold at the box office:Week 1 – Rs 674.17 croreWeek 2 – Rs 263.65 croreWeek 3 – Rs 110.60 croreWeek 4 – Rs 54.70 croreWeek 5 – Rs 19.52 croreWeek 6 – Rs 12.45 croreWeek 7 – Rs 5.58 croreBy Day 50, the film maintains a steady hold in theatres, continuing its run across 721 shows nationwide. As per the trade report, this milestone is a defining moment for Hindi cinema and franchise filmmaking in India. The film’s latest figures indicate that ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has amassed an India net total of Rs 1,140.67 crore. Meanwhile, the film has gone on to earn a staggering worldwide gross of Rs 1,791.55 crore, including Rs 1,365.20 crore from India and Rs 426.35 crore from overseas markets.The film has now surpassed the worldwide gross of ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’, which earned Rs 1,788.06 crore globally during its theatrical run, with an estimated Rs 1,030.42 crore earned in net collections and a gross total of Rs 1,416.90 crore. By beating ‘Baahubali 2’, the film officially claimed the second spot among the highest-grossing Indian films worldwide, trailing only ‘Dangal’.Despite its massive achievements, the film is yet to surpass the India net collection record set by ‘Pushpa 2’, which reportedly earned Rs 1,234.10 crore net while grossing Rs ,471.10 crore worldwide.One of the biggest accomplishments for ‘Dhurandhar 2’ remains its status as the first Hindi film in history to cross the Rs 1,000 crore net mark in India. The success also extends beyond a single film. With the combined earnings of the ‘Dhurandhar’ franchise has now become the first Indian film series to cross Rs 3,100 crore in worldwide gross collections.Unlike ‘Dhurandhar’ which released on OTT shortly after its release, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ will reportedly complete its theatrical window before its digital debut.
