‘Dhanush’ starrer ‘Kara’ hits lowest day with Rs 8 lakh

'Kara’ box office collection day 19: Dhanush and Mamitha Baiju starrer adds Rs 8 lakh on Monday; records its lowest single-day collection

Tamil superstar Dhanush’s latest release ‘Kara’, starring alongside Mamitha Baiju and directed by Vignesh Raja, is experiencing a slowdown at the box office, as reports suggest that on Monday, the movie grossed only over Rs 8 lakh, a 16% decrease from its prior day.As per trade analyst Sacnilk, on its 19th day, the film collected Rs 8 lakh across 233 shows. It is recorded as the film’s lowest single collection. In its first week, it made over Rs 30.26 crore, and then in the second week saw a major steep as it added Rs 6.54 crore.Talking about the third week, the film on day 16 made over Rs 18 lakh, day 17 got Rs 16 lakh, and day 18 added Rs 19 lakh. The low numbers during this weekend also come after the movie faced a clash with the newly released Suriya starrer ‘Karuppu’.

About ‘Kara’

Speaking about ‘Kara’, it is set to be an action thriller, which is directed by Vignesh Raja. It follows the journey of a reformed thief who is forced back into crime. The turning point comes when a bank seizes his family’s ancestral land. The film has received mixed reactions from viewers and critics. On X (formerly Twitter), a reviewer wrote, “#Kara Is A Gritty And Intense Action Drama. That Explores Survival, Power And Human Emotions. With A Raw And Hard-Hitting Narrative. The Film Builds A Strong And Realistic Atmosphere.
