‘Devil Wears Prada 2’: Does Miranda Priestly die?

Anne Hathaway and Stanley Tucci leaked 'Devil Wears Prada 2' funeral scene sparks concern; fans ask 'does Miranda Priestly die?'

A new set of photos from ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ have sent fans into a frenzy, as Anne Hathaway and Stanley Tucci were spotted filming what appears to be a funeral scene. The images from the sets that went viral online, saw Hathaway as Andy Sachs and Tucci as Nigel, dressed in all-black outfits, walking arm-in-arm through a park. Both wore dark sunglasses, adding fuel to speculation that they were shooting for a funeral. Hathaway wore an ankle-length dress paired with a sheer overlay and a thin black raincoat, while accessorising with a sleek bag. Tucci was equally sharp in a fitted black suit, white collared shirt and tie.Although black is a fashion staple, fans took to their social media handles to have a meltdown over a possible Miranda Priestly’s death scene. One asked “does Miranda Priestly die?” Another fan of the character played by Meryl Streep added, “IM MORE SCARED NOW- I MIGHT THROW UP” Still another said, “Miranda’s funeral? Anne Hathaway and Stanley Tucci film a funeral scene for The Devil Wears Prada.”On social media, one fan asked: “Wait, does Miranda die? Nooo.” Another wrote: “If they kill Miranda Priestly, what’s even the point?” This movie seems to pick up decades after the events of the first movie. While the movie saw Andy leave the magazine, her return to the office has raised speculation about the possible plot this one will follow. The film that also stars Emily Blunt, Simone Ashle and Lucy Liu, is slated for its release on May 1, 2026.
