Denise Richards gets a 5-year restraining order against Aaron Phypers, after alleged abusive relationship

Denise Richards, ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star, has been granted a five-year restraining order from the court against her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers. On November 7, 2025, the judge issued the order that would be in effect for 5 years, as the actor was allegedly physically abusive in the relationship.

Under the terms and conditions of the order, Phypers is not allowed to own or buy firearms or communicate with Richards directly while disturbing her peace. If they encounter a circumstance where they need to contact, the reality show star is allowed to record the conversation, according to People. Moreover, the actor has been restricted from publishing or providing any information about Richards to media houses, and has to return her laptop. Not only does he need to return the videos of her surgeries, but he also has to delete the clip from his storage.

The temporary restraining order

The 54-year-old was granted a temporary restraining order against her former beau, 11 days after Phypers filed for divorce in July. Previously, Denise took a stand in front of the court, where she proved that Aaron caused at least three brutally deadly concussions. Describing the situation, Denise claimed that he gave her a black eye on January 17, 2022. Another was when he reportedly slammed her head up against the concrete wall between March and May 2022. The third was in April 2025 in the Chicago hotel, where he allegedly squeezed her head so hard that she felt like her skull was being crushed. “He’s almost killed me so many damn times,” she said. However, Aaron Phypers denied the claims, stating, “I never physically harmed Denise Richards… I never threatened to harm her… I did not threaten to kill anybody.”
