Daisy Shah recalls shocking harassment incidents

Daisy Shah reveals shocking harassment incidents in Dombivli and Jaipur; recalls being threatened: 'He literally touched me very badly'

TRIGGER WARNING: This article includes references to sexual abuse.Actress Daisy Shah, who made her Bollywood debut in 2014 with Salman Khan’s film ‘Jai Ho’, has recently opened up about shocking experiences of harassment. In a candid interview, she opened up about two disturbing incidents—one that occurred in her hometown of Dombivli and another on a film set in Jaipur. Read on to learn more.

Daisy recalls street harassment in Dombivli

In an interview with Hauterrfly, Daisy Shah revealed how these incidents left her feeling violated and angry, proving that even celebrities are not immune to disturbing situations in public spaces. She recalled one disturbing incident on the streets of her locality, “I’ve had instances in Dombivli when I’m just walking on the footpath and a person just walked past me and he literally touched me very badly. And by the time I turned around I couldn’t understand who the person was because the area was crowded.” Daisy admitted she could not react at the time due to the rush and chaos of the crowded street.

Daisy describes chaotic song shoot in Jaipur

While she couldn’t respond in Dombivli, Daisy decided to fight back during a separate incident in Jaipur. She described a song shoot at a famous Haveli, a popular tourist spot, saying, “We were shooting a song in Haveli in Jaipur, it is a famous place. It’s a tourist spot. But there is only one In and Out gate. So there were around 500 people in the crowd and some 200 dancers. When they announced pack-up, everyone started rushing through that gate, and in that crowd, somebody touched me on the back.”The ‘Race 3’ actress revealed that her immediate reaction was to lash out in anger, “I did not see left or right, I just started hitting people behind me. Whoever I saw, I hit because I was very angry.”

Incident escalated after locals threatened her

Daisy said the situation escalated after pack-up when a local threatened her,”After we all came out, a local person threatened me to teach a lesson, and I was like, yes show me.”Explaining why she hit the person, she said, “The reason why I hit the person was because the man was not talking properly, and he was doing that because I was a girl. Come face me bravely, why are you taking shelter in a crowd like a coward. Show me your face and then dare to do anything.”

Daisy Shah’s recent film projects and updates

On the professional side, Daisy was last seen in the film ‘Mystery of the Tattoo’, which was released in 2023. She has not announced any upcoming projects yet.DISCLAIMER: If you or someone you know is struggling with abuse, please seek help. Numerous helplines and support resources are available.
