'Congratulations, Zahra!': Chris Rock reunites with ex-wife Malaak Compton to celebrate daughter's graduation

Chris Rock, the renowned actor-comedian, was in all smiles to celebrate the graduation of his daughter along with his ex-wife, Malaak Compton-Rock. Dressed in formals, the trio posed together for the pictures at the commencement ceremony of the University of Southern California.

Compton-Rock shared cherished memories of the day on Instagram, praising her daughter for her extraordinary academic achievements. In the carousel, their daughter, Zahra, wore a red and gold graduation stole, along with the gown and a cap. Belonging to the Class of 2026, she holds a degree from USC School of Dramatic Arts and the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. Meanwhile, the proud parents posed from the audience as their daughter walked on the stage. The rest of the pictures had their friends and family, who gathered for the bash.

“Congratulations, Zahra! Your mom and dad, and your entire family, are so proud of your extraordinary academic achievements,” Compton-Rock penned her happy emotions in the caption, before adding, “Your lifelong love of literature led you to pursue an English degree (Narrative Studies) at the University of Southern California, where you graduated with high honors! Celebrating your accomplishments over these last few days is a memory I will cherish forever. ”

Furthermore, she continued to thank her family who supported them during the occasion. Appreciating her daughter, Compton-Rock shared kind words about how thoughtful, compassionate, and brilliant Zahra has become. “I don’t know if I told you enough, but reading some of your papers left me astonished by your ability to synthesize complex literature with such insight and depth,” she wrote in the caption. The comments quickly congratulated Zahara with red hearts all over the section.
