‘I was happy… but then I felt bad for him’

The latest chatter began after Kohli briefly liked a January post by LizLaz, a German-South African influencer and avid Royal Challengers Bengaluru supporter.Opening up about the unexpected attention, LizLaz said her reaction was mixed.“No, I felt a bit sorry for him actually! I was so happy that he liked it, but then him unliking it, I felt a bit bad for him because I don’t even know how it became such a big story. How did people notice, how did they make it news that was probably not his intention behind it, but still I am grateful for it and I appreciate the support from him,” she told Hindustan Times. She also revealed that she wasn’t even aware of the like initially and only found out after it started making headlines, following which she received a flood of messages.

Sudden fame, new opportunities

The viral moment has since translated into a surge in her follower count and professional inquiries. LizLaz described the experience as surreal and said she is taking time to process the attention, while also expressing interest in exploring opportunities in India.
