Sunny Deol’s ‘Border 2’ has been roaring at the box office since its arrival in theaters. The makers decided to release the war drama in the Republic Day week, which has given an additional boost to its box office numbers. According to the Sacnilk report, the spiritual sequel to the 1997 war drama has already raked in Rs 14.24 crore as of now in India. The numbers will increase with every passing hour, and the final box office score will be out by the end of the day. Meanwhile, the film opened to Rs 30 crore, and on its second day, it earned Rs 36.5 crore at the box office.

The film has been backed by Nidhi Dutta, daughter of JP Dutt, who had helmed the iconic ‘Border’ in 1997. Directed by Anurag Singh, the movie stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty in the lead roles. It also features Mona Singh, Anya Singh, Medha Rana, Sonam Bajwa, Paramvir Cheema, Anurag Arora, Vansh Bhardwaj, and more. Like the previous film, this one is also set during the India-Pakistan War of 1971.
