'Border 2' box office collections Day 2: Sunny Deol starrer inches toward 70 crore mark, becomes his 4th highest earner

The year 2026 is packed with several movies, coming from different genres. A lot of these films from the lineup have been hogging the spotlight right from the word go, and ‘Border 2’ is certainly one of them. Starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty and others, the war drama had been in the news for all the right reasons. This Anurag Singh film opened in theatres on January 23, 2026, right at the beginning of the extended Republic Day weekend, and is benefiting from it. After a great opening on Friday, ‘Border 2’ saw growth on Saturday as well. ‘Border 2’ Day 2 collections

Written by J.P. Dutta, the movie is a sequel to his earlier ‘Border,’ released in 1997. According to Sacnilk, on Friday, this action-packed drama, which rides high on emotions, scored Rs 30 crore across all languages in India. Following the impressive opening on Saturday, the movie made Rs 35 crore, according to the early estimates. With this, the net collection of ‘Border 2’ stands at Rs 65 crore after two days of theatrical release. On day 3, these numbers are expected to go higher, and the movie has shown potential to grow further over the extended weekend.
