Amitabh Bachchan is in the news, but for a very different reason. Days after Diwali, a video circulated on social media, revealing the gifts the megastar allegedly distributed to his staff during the festival. A lot of netizens lauded Big B’s gesture towards his staff; however, many had other things to say.

Amitabh Bachchan gives Rs 10000 cash to his staff on Diwali

The viral clip showcased a content creator visiting Amitabh Bachchan’s residence in Juhu and having a conversation with one of his staff members. He can be heard saying, “Ye mithai baata ja raha hai. Ye Amitabh Bachchan ka ghar hai (These sweets are being distributed. This is Amitabh Bachchan’s house).” While saying this, the video showcased the surrounding area.In the same video, one of the alleged staff members confirmed that cash was also given to them on the occasion of Diwali. The person said, “Paise bhi diye (Money was also given).”The amount revealed in the video was Rs 10,000 per person along with the box of sweets. The caption of the video post read, “Bollywood’s biggest actor, Amitabh Bachchan, gave Rs 10,000 cash and a box of sweets to his house staff and security personnel.”

Netizens react to video

Soon after the video went viral on social media, it sparked discussions online. While a lot of people praised Sr. Bachchan for his gesture, there were some who claimed that the cash amount was “too little.”A person commented, “That’s very sad. They should be given way more money for the kind of things they do—running about 24×7 for a star. It’s not an easy job.” A comment read, “Not a big enough amount, Rs 10,000.” A social media user went on to write, “Diwali pe everyone has to give double salary to their staff… people give 20-25k as a bonus as well.”
